TVRCC Herts & Beds: Christmas meal for 2013
Discussion
Following a recommendation from Nick, how would people be with the following...
The Red Lion,
Preston,
Hitchin
SG4 7UD
They do not have a private room, nor do they have any special Xmas menu,
but the food they offer looks good and is reasonably priced, e.g.
http://www.theredlionpreston.co.uk/our-menu
The dates they have available in December are 11th and 13th for an evening
meal.
So, if you are interested, could you let me know in the next day or so, so
I can either book or look for an alternative.
Thanks!

The long list of starters and main courses on their webpage is their total repertoire, NOT the selection all available on any day. From that list they will have about 4 or 5 starters and 5 or 6 main courses.
The food is extraordinarily good for pub or good restaurant food. Jo, Ray's wife, is a fantastic cook hitting high notes with many of her dishes. They are the tenant/managers of this community owned Free House, owned entirely by the residents of Preston. The Red Lion specialises in both a good selection of Real Ales and Ciders and of course Jo's kitchen

Plus plenty of safe parking to the rear of pub and village green, locals that are
about British sports cars, and a balmy weather forecast for tomorrow evening, so here's hoping for a good turnout!

Well, it was NEARLY everything Ceri had advised!!!!! Everything that is, except "safe parking"
about British sports cars, and a balmy weather forecast for tomorrow evening, so here's hoping for a good turnout!

A nice evening with TVR mates marred only by Alex's Evora getting hit by a manoeuvring Land Rover. The silver lining and saver of the day was that the woman driver was very honest and came in to find the Lotus owner instead of just driving off as so often can happen.
Sorry it happened to you Alex, but it IS a "no fault" accident so you should be looked after royally by whichever accident management company is appointed to look after your case. Hope you're not as upset about it as I would be!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for arranging the evening anyway!
Nick.
