Brooklands New years day is a great opportunity to get out and stretch the legs and start the year in getting the cars out to stretch there legs as well
We are heading up from Kent in a S2 Vixen and another Vixen from Croydon is also coming we will be meeting at the new sevices between the M23 and the A3 at 8.45 to leave at 9am the gates open at 10am I believe at Brooklands would be great to get a convoy of TVRs heading in together so we can all be together there
Please post up here if you are planning on coming so we know to look out for you at the services

Im thinking of going this year, never done it before as the morning of New Years Day is usually just a blur!

Andrew, I'll give you a shout in the next day or so but I am out the night before & have promised to behave this year, expect to see me there but it will be a little later in the morning.

As you know Im sure I'll bring some friendsbiggrin

Brooklands has experienced some flooding.

"Flooding update - 26th December 1pm
Brooklands Museum has experienced flooding overnight and as a result we are delaying our reopening after Christmas until at least Monday 30th December. At this stage we hope to be open in at least a limited way from then on, including for New Year’s Day, but we ask intending visitors to check this website for updates. Our switchboard is not working but we can handle essential calls on 01932 855465."

Keep an eye on http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/ for the latest information.

I have checked the Brooklands site and all go for New years Day the Gates actually open at 9am however the Museum etc opens at 10am In previous years there are always cars arriving even after 11am unlike other car shows this is not a car show it is a Car meet and hence whatever time you turn up is great but there is a lot to see so the earlier you arrive the longer you will have to look and Dream as there are always great cars to see.
They are relaxed about the pre 73 thing and any TVR from a MK1 to a Sagaris can get in.
Weather does look like it will be a little wet so rain coats might be needed but Cars can be cleaned so hope to see lots of TVRs there this year as previous years we have been a bit thin on the ground.
Still 8.45 at leatherhead Services.
Looking forward to a great Day

Well we made it 160mile round trip and what a journey but a great day out and nice time meeting old friends and new.
Great to meet up with another Vixen as well a rare sight seeing two vixens together on the road so that alone was worth the 3 hours sorting and cleaning the car before she went back to bed ready for the next adventure
Sorry more did not make it maybe next year
