I was just reading up on the MSVT site that they do group bookings - and got me thinking how many would we need to guarantee to book out Snetterton dedicated to TVR's. Anyone attempted something like this before? - btw I did go check the TVRCC forum + website both which are incredibly out of date - so don't see any help in that direction.

If we aimed for May/June (i.e. better weather) what would be chance of trying to get 40-50 cars?

TVRCC do a trackday at Cadwell Park at the end of May I believe.

I think you would need 50 cars to get the price at a decent level and not make it too crowded, althought Snetterton is a long track now and 60 cars is not too many.

For me, Snetterton is King, 130 miles away but 100 less then Cadwell.

I'd go to Snetterton anytime.

I think booking up a one off for all TVRs is adventurous but worth a try.

You may get more from PH then the tiv club can muster, time will tell.........

Have a chat with the RO at Hants TVRCC because IIRC they organised or helped with TAG11, which was a very successful TVR day at Goodwood.

Albie there. This year the TVRCC track day was in September, by the way.

I'd be interested. Depending on dates - the year is filling fast!

May would be better. Avoids interfering with Le Mans prep / fallout.

Do I have to be in a Chim to come along?

Any car, a Tiv would be nice.

We'll be doing several TDs, so if you can't make this one there'll be another along soon.

Normally I use the Beast;

But I'd like to let Tamy loose. Still umming and erring on whether to get an S3C, V8S or Chim to replace the Beast for track duties.

I'd like to do Snetterton.
Take out an advert int he Sprint Magazine, and if it's not looking like enough TVRs, open to some TVR friends, like we do at Cadwell.

A dedicated TVR day at Snett would be fantastic. Cadwell is a little too far away for me and not that I have ever driven Cadwell but it looks a bit narrow for novices such as myself, Snett has very generous run off areas for most corners.

Matt, you have it about right there. One or two of the bends at Cadwell Park have armco alarmingly close to the action. On the TVRCC day a novice in a Chim went into a corner a bit quick and then had a lift-off spin and met the armco backwards with an expensive thump. The previous year an experienced Elise driver just got it wrong at a different bend and trashed his front end. It IS possible to hit the armco at Snetterton, a BMW did it I think when you were there last time, but nowhere near as easy.

There was that S2K that got on the power a bit early going onto the Bentley straight and came off infield into the Armco when we were there in April this year, but it's pretty rare at Snetts
