http://www.classicmotorevents.co.uk/london_brighto...

There are 2 runs on the same day open to most cars (one for classics and the other for sports/kits) wonder if any of the TVR guys would like to go this year.

As its a "sports" car run ANY TVR will qualify for this so age is NOT an issue.

Starting at Greenwich Park this year which is something new. (Might be close to Zig's Sausage meet?)

If there is sufficient interest I'll see if I can make a group booking with the organisers and we might get a small discount on the price.

If anyone has any questions I'll try and answer them here but I may need to pass them onto the organisers if I don't know.

I'm not associated with them in any way, but have done this run in various cars for a number of years.

Am I just mean? I thought £25 for a two day event at Stratford Upon Avon was pricey!

£89.50 to drive a few miles on public roads (ok, you get a parking space at the end), think I'll stick to smaller "privately" organised runs and meets wink

I'll post it in the Wedge area, we normally go for the Sports car run (then all us TVRs can stick together?) but if some of us want to go on the classic and all meet up at the end (the two runs are separate except for the start and finish points) I'm sure that can be arranged.

Yes its not the cheapest run but you get Maderia Drive closed off at Brighton, entry to a halfway attraction and RAC cover (dedicated to us) on the run, we have a number to ring and give them the page and instruction number and they will be there really quick.

Add that to the full tulip maps of the route etc, its not a 5 min job to organise, but I do realise it is not something everyone can always afford.

Thanks for your interest so far.

Norman

I got my physical copy of the sign up form for this year this morning.

I'm going to give the guys a ring and see if we can quote a code so we can all be grouped together even if we send the paperwork in separately (might make life a bit easier) and will make it like a "run within a run" for us TVR guys

If I can manage to negotiate any sort of discount then I'll put it towards Ice Cream or Fish and Chips at Brighton.

Does that sound fair?

That is fine, he did mention that he'd had applications from at least 1 TVR already, so he will not be surprised to get your call.

Look forward to seeing you on the day.

I was speaking to them today and they have your forms in and know you are part of the group and are saving a few run numbers around yours for the rest of us to fill in (they will rejig it if needed befroe they are sent out) so all looking good.

We are really looking forward to it and have been asking everyone if they want to take part!
A very good friend will be definitely doing it if he is back from France, in his Sagaris.

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK IN!!!!!!

Just spoken to the guys today and if people want to be with our group at the start (and parked up together at the finish) they will need to book in ASAP

If you want you can call them on 01527 831 726 and they will take your details, and fill the form out for you, PLEASE mention TVR NOMADS when booking.

If you have already booked in please can you call them and double check they have you in the TVR NOMADS group. (it seems there is another group of "Pistonheads" and some cars may have been put in that group by mistake)

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on this run.

Thanks to those TVR owners who made the effort and did this run.

I know some of you booked in under a "Pistonheads" group, but thats all good.

I think it added to the the enjoyment, especially when we were following the group of Porsches.

Was nice that the weather held for us as well.

I have some in car video I took, unfortunately when I set the camera up in the sun that morning I turnned off the mic without realising it.
