TVRCC Home counties: Topcats Open-day for June 28th
Discussion
Hi everyone
Great news for those who love a good day out at specialist workshops!
I have been working with the folks at Topcats Racing (Warren and crew) to arrange
an open-day for later this year and we now have a set of dates and event details.
As such, here is the official press release with the details...
It should be a great addition to the calendar this year, so come along and enjoy
the day out!
Cheers!
Topcats Racing are pleased to announce the date for the Grand Opening of their brand new custom built 8000sq.ft
workshop facility at Westcott Venture Park, Westcott, Aylesbury, HP18 0XB on Saturday 28th June 2014 from
midday until 5.00pm.
An exciting array of activities and events have been planned for the day including the unveiling of the building name
which will be chosen from one of the entries in our competition to name the new building, running until the end of March.
A professional sound, light and stage area will host live music acts. An exciting and special TVR that has received the
‘Topcats’ treatment will be revealed along with a mouthwatering and eclectic range of supercars and historics to whet
the appetite of every motor enthusiast.
A huge cache of prizes will be awarded for a variety of competitions during the day including a number of breaks and
dining experiences at The Greenwich Hotel London, tickets to Cirque du Soleil at the O2 Arena to name a few. Exhibitors,
displays and activities, food and refreshments will keep young and old entertained. We are also hoping to confirm our
celebrity guest soon.
Special parking will be arranged for the regional TVRCC’s as well as Club Marcos International as we expect them in
BIG numbers! We would be happy to hear from other clubs who would like to do the same. Other areas will be reserved
for those wishing to enter the various car competitions we have planned incl. Concourse (bring your chamois leather!),
Loudest, Meanest, Cutest....
All club members are welcome.
This post is to track members who are interested in coming to the event so that we have a good idea of what types of
numbers to expect

Run-in for the Open-day
With regards to the open-day, I'm thinking we should all meet up at the Crow's Nest in Tring and then do
a run-in from there over to TopCats for 12pm.
That means we arrive at the Crow's Nest for about 1100-1115 and leave about 1120 or so.
How would folks feel about doing that?
Hi all, we are the stage of using the neighbouring car parks and overflows to accommodate the various clubs and cars that are attending. To finalise the parking plan, please can anyone that is planning on visiting us for the grand opening please add your name to the guest list if you haven't already done so. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
One additional thing to note...
The other thing to mention is that we are based on a WW2 airbase of important historical interest where pilots learned to fly the Lancaster bomber and where POW’s were returned to England. Many of the buildings on site are now listed. It is still a place where they research missiles and rockets etc and undergo missile testing. The site has undergone huge redevelopment too. Because of this the venture park has very tight security so when guests arrive at the security gate we recommend that they display a passcode ‘TCRGO’ in the windscreen which will give them instant access onto site without the security guards having to stop and ask them where they are going...
