Just spoken to Ali at the office.
We have less than 4 weeks to go till the track day
Only got 21 subscribed so far. We need 60 on the day to make it pay.
Doesn't seem right that we can get 650+ polishers at a stateley house, yet struggle to get 60 for a great fun day at Cadwell !!!
See You There ...Ian

Track days and what to expect.
Most of what is written is probably on the search for TVR and Cadwell but it is worth sharing a few basics.
Your car
1. Unless you have removed your cats then you will make the 105db limit- there are times when the team show sympathy but blatant disregard for the noise limits
2. Apart from making sure your car is in good working order then that is all that is needed
You
1. Ever driven the best roads for smoothness and flowing form? Now is your chance. Track days are perfect conditions, I know Tuscans' are skittish cars at best and are transformed when on the track-
2. Special equipment- A helmet. I spent £80 in case I didn't like track days, still wearing it years later after being hooked.
3. There is a real sense of belonging in the club and is evident most when at these type of events.
Everybody is a novice once and there is no distinction off the track. We all have to learn and we know it is by sticking together and keeping this activity alive that we keep the spirit of TVR alive as well. Polishing has its place and so does the TVR track day. Some combine the two activities.. JS

Phoned the car club office today
There have been no more bookings over the BH weekend.
Please spread the word to anybody who may be interested in the event.
If we don't fill it !
For the first time, the event wont 'break even' or make slight profit, & 2014 Cadwell will be the last !!

I would have done this but it's 2 weeks before Le-Mans and a month before the classic so I just don't want to take the risk....
Buzz
I would also love to have done this, and I know at least six or seven other S owners would have signed up as well, if it wasn't just a couple of days before we all set off on the S Club Eurotour to the Black Forest 3 Nations TVR Gathering Buzz

As Buzz says, it's such a shame this trackday isn't later on in the year.

It's much better to be able to spank the pants off it knowing you've got the whole winter to sort out the results of any mechanical ( or driver related! ) failings.
So many things to do, so little time ............

A big thanks to Ian and Bernie for putting on another brilliant track day. The driver tuition was excellent as usual and the weather was great too. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer a Monday at work over a TVR track day at the beautiful Cadwell Park circuit. It's in a TVR's DNA to want to stretch its legs and where better to do that than on a circuit with driving tuition. The whole club needs to get behind this event to keep it going. I for one will be there next year.
Great meeting everyone.
Looking forward to seeing some pics of the day's event.

Another excellent trackday, sunny Lincolnshire, good driving /manners from everyone and as far as I'm aware barely a yellow flag let alone a red.
Also good to see so many people on their first trackday, I hope they enjoyed it and get the bug.
Well done to the organisers and I hope you got close enough to the numbers to make it pay it's way.

Great day - thanks to everyone who helped organise.
Great weather too, thankfully - after a "mildly moist" start it quickly dried, and even sun in the afternoon!!
Excellent standards of driving - very courtious in the red group (sorry for being mobile chicane...) and no red or yellow flags on those sessions. Don't think there were any incidents?
Good to see you all again - hopefully next year??
