Austec Open day thread
Discussion
I quickly spotted a thread earlier today about this years Austec open day but didn't have time to post on it at the time. However I'd be buggered if I can find the thread now. Can someone post a link to it so I can post, I'm sure Nelly posted on it and a few others, sorry if this a double thread so to speak but the PH central search engine is its usual crap self. vmt H
OK finally got around to speaking to Paul at Austec today about this.
Yes there is an open day it's on sunday week, 29th Sept I think, but the thread orignally opened was deemed advertising and closed
. Although the day is on a sunday and is voluntary for the staff and any proceeds from the rolling road etc go to charity, so no money will be made on the day can't say fairer than that, beats me as group buys and planning fitting etc is considered not advertising, viral marketing perhaps
. However as a satisfied customer then I am within the rules for spreading the word in true PH viral style.
For those TVR owners that haven't been for a while, you will be surprised by the amount of Jap rockets being tweaked there now, along with the usual TVR stuff. Dave Martins engine shop is expanding with full milling/lathe machines etc I know I was surprised since I was in last year, he just done some good work on mine.
I'm dropping my car off this weekend for some final fettling and mapping I'll go on the open day to pick it up picked up on the open day, I've been running in some recent head tweaks and hopefully it will have a new set of figures which hopefully extend the existing 4.5AJP bench mark a little further than my existing 450hp for those that want to see it
.
Whilst on the phone Paul also drops the bombshell that the middle weekend of October they also have a guest speaker in the form of the car tuners guru David Vizard attending
, not sure of the details yet myself, but best speak to Paul directly as I expect may be limited on numbers.
