We are pleased to be able to announce still more reasons why ‘A British Affair’ on the 14th and 15th of August will be ‘the’ event to go to this year.

After long negotiations we can now offer around 40 British Affair Ticket holders a unique photo opportunity to have a picture of their TVR with a Battle of Britain hero.

For the Saturday only at around 10.30, The Shuttleworth Collection’s unique Sea Hurricane is being pushed into position for us prior to taking part in the flying display. We have around 2 hours to get the shoot done and it has to be done with due respect to the age, value and historic importance of the aircraft so we have a limited number of places available.

There will be two photographers taking shots of the car and plane combination to speed up the process. Around 5 images of each car will be processed on the day and will be placed on a CD for the owner to take away late afternoon at a cost of £10. We will also be able to supply A4 prints on the day at additional cost.

We believe that the demand will be such that pre booking will be essential. Bookings are to be made to me directly via ro@tvrcc-herts-beds.co.uk. Please provide your name, car model, colour and registration with the booking request and you will receive a return email confirming your booking and providing you with the payment information. Before the event you will be sent a further email giving final instructions.

We must advise that the collection will NOT allow any other photography to take place of this set up, so do not assume you will be able to turn up and park close to the plane and take pictures with your own camera. As stated above we have to demonstrate to the collection this will be a professionally managed photo shoot.

We can also advise that the photographers will be on site all day and will be taking commissions for other shots and will be compiling a CD for sale during the event with shots from the day that will include images of the flying display taken by experienced aviation and motorsport photographers with specialist equipment.

Just to let you know the bookings window for the Hurricane photo shoot is now closed. There are two places still available one of them due to a cancellation (commiserations Chas!)

Having set up to do 40 I think we still should, so those two places will be available on Saturday morning on a first come first served basis. The gate marshals will have two photo shoot passes to sell at £10 each. To make it fair any other contact with regard to these places will I’m afraid be ignored.

Thanks to all those that have booked.
