Discussion
Hi Guys & Gals (and fellow octane drinkers)
Date from the TVRCC Calendar - Multi-regional TVR only class at York Dragway on Sunday the 8th August 2010.
I am sure if anyone wishes to try this for the first time there will be plenty of encouragement and advice available
So no excuses from anyone (unless you have a sicknote from your Mum!!!!).
Sunday 8th August at York (Seaton Ross)
TVR only Class and race lane
Only £10 to spectate all day
An extra £30 if you want to try your cars speed in a safe "Scammera-free" environment
Get an accurate 0-60 and 1/4 mile time
Bring or borrow helmet (FOC for a deposit)
Long trousers and shirts when driving for fire safety
Current Driving Licence (doesn't even have to be clean!!)
Plenty of encouragement and help
Plenty of photos and video to remember the day
A lot easier than you might think and very addictive
All TVRs from all regions are welcome to join us
PLEASE PM ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US TO RACE SO WE KNOW NUMBERS
and I will send you more details by return

Because of another Drag event at Elvington on the same date
it is expected that we will get more runs than the last TVR event at York
There is also a jet powered car at York that is hopefully running
which is one of the most awesome sights I have ever seen (especially as you can get very close at York!!!!)
Safe driving

If any Griff or Chim owners want to borrow a pair of decent tyres to try then get in touch.
Warning....there is a slight risk of rubbing the inner arch if your car is low and the suspension is soft.
If you dont mind risking some of the paint on your inner arches then my 255 Mickey Thompson Street ETs will knock your times down considerably.
It only takes 1 person to express an interest and i will bring the wheels along. I will also have tools, jacks, pumps etc for people to use.
