Are there still run-ins to the meets? Cant make it this Sunday, but would like to tag along on future meets with run-ins....
Hi JonThere haven't been many run-ins this year, but then you
were the main instigator of them before you went all lotus

Might be interesting to organise another one and see
who could keep up with you!

Cheers
John

May get back involved soon. The Lotus is coming off the road for a big overhaul/stripdown so the TVR will be back! Will be nice to come back to TVR reliability. LOTUS - Load Of Trouble Usually Serious

I'm going to regret this, but...
I'm happy to volunteer to plan the next run-in. I just need to know
- the types of routes people usually like to do
- numbers of people intested in coming
- the timings that most people like to spend on the route
- lastly, the range people are willing to drive to.
Plenty of quiet country lanes this way plus scenary to drive by, so I can put something together if people in the Herts/Bed TVRCC are interested for the next meet.

Hi Alex. A typical run I used to organise was about 2hrs, 40-80miles, plenty of stops, mostly country roads. I know many like dual carriage ways and tunnels, but my run's were not about this and were generally pacey. I usually had 6-8 cars. But 30+ was my record! Best if you plan the route on a tomtom and hand it out. If at least 2 people know where they are going then groups of over 6 cars are more easily managed. Biggest nightmare are traffic lights. Nothing worse than having to rescue the rear end of the convoy!!

hi jon
have you much to do to get your lotus back on the road ?
that 30+ car run was the best one for me , great route out to thaxted and back to baldock
nice weather and a good mix of cars and most of us stayed together
be good to see you and lisa and one of the tvr meets
Keith! Long time no see. New clutch, which is clam off and engine out. New suspension bushes all round and a few smaller jobs. In no rush to get this done, so car will be garaged and worked on as and when I have the inclination and time.have you much to do to get your lotus back on the road ?

Mal, would be good to discuss (with those that are interested) what is involved in club endorsed run-in organisation etc. I know you have mentioned it a few times. Hopefully see you around soon!
Cheers, Jon
After posing the question on the TVRCC forum, had a lot of interesting feedback about permits/club insurance/legal liability etc which makes me think - more research is needed here. So, Jon, watch this space. I'll find out from YP what is needed - seems to be a factsheet you can get - and we'll take it from there.Cheers, Jon
It sounds like we maybe able to do something, but will need to make some things very clear to anyone who comes along.
I knew this would be lots of fun *mhahaha*
