Suffolk Meet???
Discussion
Do you mean this...
Next Suffolk & Norfolk meet is on Sun 17th October and is a multi activity event!
We will first meet in the overflow car park at Stonham Barns (IP14 6AT) at 10:30am.
There will then a cross country drive to Hollow Trees Farm Shop (IP7 6HX) which is on the A1141 between Hadleigh and Lavenham where there are various things to keep people amused: coffee shop, farm shop, farm trail, etc - see www.hollowtrees.co.uk for more details. We aim to get here around 11:30 to beat any lunchtime rush.
In the afternoon Paul Cook has arranged a trip to Hawker Restorations (www.hawker-restorations-ltd.co.uk). You may have seen them on the local news recently as they are famed for restoring Hawker Hurricanes. They also have another off-shoot called Hawker Racing (www.hawker-racing.co.uk/) who restore classic racing cars.
Paul has arranged this via Pistonheads and there are more details on their forum (www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=121&t=900823&i=20). Paul's plan is to meet at the Show Case in Bildeston where the B1115 meets up 3 ways (the nearest post code is IP7 7EX). He's asking for people to get there for 12:30 so we can leave for Hawker at 12:45.
Can those that intend to come along to Hawker please let me know, or post directly on the PH thread, as Paul will need to give numbers to Hawker.
If old planes and cars aren't your thing then there is plenty to see and do locally such as Corn Crafts in Monks Eleigh or head over to Lavenham, assuming you've exhausted Hollow Trees that is.
