I know this is a little way off, but I've just got the calendar for the Goodwood Breakfast Club this year and Sunday 5th of June is listed as:

  • Post-1970 sports, performance and GT cars, plus a special celebration of the TVR marque
Sounds like it should be worth a look.

Sorry, did have a quick glance at the other threads, didn't notice it.

Need to get my TVRCC subscription renewed so I'm up with these things.

Chris,

Hopefully this thread will attract less people moaning about “TAG11” (too expensive, too little time on the track, to low noise restrictions, sausages too small on the breakfast (that its too expensive), too little this, too much that, etc…) that the other ones…

If you want to moan about the cost of this, the cost of that, etc… maybe you guys should buy a diesel and not a 4, 4.3, 4.5 or 5L V8 sports car and hang out on an other thread, or spend less money on beers (it seams that you all like the stuff and drinks plenty of it, a pint’s = 3 litters of petrol = Blurb, blurb, blurb …) …

Please happy non meaning people on this thread only…. Maybe we should create a “people morning and criticizing TAG 11” for all the moaners out there…

I have booked (the £ 260 premium “rip off package”) and I am happy about it !!!! It’s going to me my first track day, so I will probably the slowest on the track, so I would have been ripped off (for having spend £ 260), will be driving a Chimaera that is not loud enough (to fit within the noise restrictions), fuelled by petrol that is far to expensive, I will be slow, but I will still be smiling… and will be part of TAG11…

I hope that plenty of happy people will come to TAG11, maybe the moaners should go on a “moaning drive” to Eastern Europe, it’s cheap there, petrol’s cheap and beers too….

Life’s too short to keep on moaning! Long life to TAG …

Best regards, Frenchie.

Hi Frenchie,

well said. As one of the organisers I will see you there and really hope that you enjoy the whole day and evening entertainment.

Goodwood is a special place, and will suit TVR down to the ground. The restriction are strict thanks to the local residents, but the idea was to have an event that would not be just a static show.

PS are you French?

Hi Railman,

I love Goodwood and the area (have been to events on the track: several festival of speeds, breakfast club), have never driven there or on any other tracks, actually.

I love the Sussex country side and know it fairly well.

Sure I am French, but not fresh of the boat, have been here since 94...

See you at Goodwood.

Frenchie
