That makes pleasant viewing compared to the Sri-Lankan killing fields on Chanel 4 right now.
Mobile phone footage of executions and abuse.

Gis a clue.
Tv show about a council estate in kilmarnock, shows various families of dole scrounging scumbag drug users and the sad sad lives they live while floatin in and out of jail, court and conciousness from drugs and drink.

Car crash tv that makes you glad of your own life, and that your not from kilmarnock. Unlike a mate of mine.... hehe

Unemployed scum in scotland that you canny understand. It follows a few dole scumming families around in daily life through their breeding, drinking, jailing and drugs.

The very very bottom of the food chain (although it's not the youngers kids faults!)

wait till you see episodes 3 and 4. there was also a follow up - year later type thing, grim viewing.
filmed in scotland but typical of any large council housing scheme (apart from the accent) in the country.
pisses me right of that i have folk working damn hard and can't afford flat screen tv, laptops etc.
i pray cameron and his bed buddy see this and do something about it.

Ah, 'The Scheme' was on up here a while ago, folk talking about it in the office, makes ye proud to be Scottish eh! sigh.

The annoying thing is, its being shown UK wide now, so everyone south of Ayr now thinks everyone up here speaks like that (most of the time i can't understand a word that is said, and i am from Aberdeen where Doric is still spoken in some places!!)

I refused to watch it after the first one, as it gives fuel to the fire that people WANT to see this stuff on TV, if they can afford booze, fags and drugs, then they are getting too much on the dole!!

I work hard for nice things, why should they be able to afford a bigger TV than i can!!! oh its okay though, he doesn't have to feed his kids does he...ggrrr

Wee now suitably warmed.

It still amazes me how people like this (not just jocks by any means) get chance after chance and fk it up constantly. When there are no consequences for failure then is it really a surprise that people choose to live like rats?

fking Hell Scotland is grim!
...and England has no such areas, with similar inhabitants therein?

However, yes - the lifestyles depicted are quite reprehensible.

Watched this for the first time last night. Profoundly depressing, except for a shot of the outside of Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, specifically the sign on the front, which Mrs 230TE and I found highly amusing:

Anyone else see what I'm seeing there?

The Onthank estate in Kilmarnock is like the wild west. Its mental. And this comes from me who grew up in the Cranhill estate in Glasgow.

Across Scotland, in most major towns there is an area a bit like The Scheme... Logie in Aberdeen... Sighthill/Pilton/Wester Hailes/Craigmillar in Edinburgh...Raploch in Stirling.....Abbeyview here in Dunfermline....Ferguslie Park in Paisley...etc.

Same in England too, every big place has its avoidable areas, usually with local authority housing.
