Anyone been in the Top Gear Audience

I’m lucky enough to have a friend who has got tickets for the top gear audience. I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience of being in the audience.
Quick question
What is it like for car parking; due to work commitments I will be meeting the rest of the group of four at the studio. I would ask my friend, but he is out of the country till Tuesday.
As it is based at an airfield I assume there will be plenty of space for cars, however as I am working i will be turning up in a large van. Will this cause any problems?
I know it will be a long day standing (2-7pm ish) but I am still looking forward to it.

Parking is fine, lots and secure. Van should be no issue, they might want to look inside.
Length can vary, I went to the last of the last series and we were done in 3.5 hours. All depends how co-operative the audience is and how good you can fake laugh.
PS be wary of Clarkson's potty mouth.
I've done it, car parking is not a problem.
It's quite a long day and it's hellish hot in there if it's warm outside as they turn the vents off during filming.
I must say I didn't massively enjoy it; it's a long time on your feet, and being a bit deaf it's surprisingly hard to hear a lot of the dialogue as they record at very low mic volumes to avoid echo.
On the other hand the people watching is geat fun. Have you ever noticed how many pretty girls there are in the TG audience just behind the presenters? I always assumed they were there with partners etc. (sexist remark I know) but there seemed to be groups of unaccompanied females who really didn't look like petrolheads. I'm sure you've heard the stories that the producers manouevre them around; I saw no evidence of this, they were blatantly trying to position themselves for the next scene and it seemed pretty clear that they were there purely to try and get themselves on TV. Great fun to watch... on so many levels.

PArking is fine as long as you can get through security, make sure your mate has given them your cars details!!
Boring as fek day, dragged like made, boiling hot, having to laugh over and over to the same joke because the director isnt happy.
I noticed on last nights show rapturous laughter on the sound track whilst the camera was showing people that looked like they had been traumatised into silence. Perhaps they dub the laughter now....?
Overall an experience I never rushed to repeat.

Been twice.
1st time was most enjoyable (SLR to Norway, DB9/599/Dimblebly episode) as it wasn't "too" busy so could have a good mooch around, could get closish to the action and see/enjoy a TV show being made.
2nd time (Nissan GTR, old rolls/merc barge, dragons den people episode) was worse (didn't enjoy it so much.), many more people there, much more crowded, hot, can't get too close to the action unless you're obsessed about it and can barge in.

I went to the filming of the show on the episode featuring the new (at the time) fiesta with corvette in the shopping centre.
As others have said, long day, gets hot and can be tedious at times.
Apart from that its brilliant, the banter that doesn't make it to tv and audience participation that goes on with Clarkson and co is ace.
During the break Clarkson went to his office area as he didn't feel well (if anyone remembers the episode, he could hardly talk and had to keep spraying his throat).

I was in the audience for the infamous Will Young (SIARPC) episode. All of our party got on telly including me standing by the lap time chart for the Fiat 500 Abarth.

Yes, be prepared to stand up for a few hours, we ended up sitting on the studio floor eventually.
You get served tea and crisps.
Parking is not a problem.
