Might be in the minority here but I thought it was the best bit of British produced TV I've seen in quite awhile. I thought the dialogue was cracking and so was the acting but I was looking at it as a drama with some funny bits in it. According to the papers, it gets much darker as we go through the series. However anyone want to play guess what happens later in the series, as I thought some of the character development has been possibly signposted very early on.
I'm guessing....There will be a terrorist event which will reflect on the Asian guy. The gay guy will have someone die on him during a sex game. Our hero will end up sleeping with the shrink, while the copper tuts disapprovingly. He will only realise he loves the copper as she lays dying in his arms at the end of the series.
If I get all of those right, I'm in the wrong job. If I have got all of them wrong, I've got to point in my life where I'm trying to ruin my own enjoyment of things by trying to prove how clever I am.

I was disappointed, was hoping for a bit more comedy or maybe I just didn't get what was already there. If that least favourite song bit was supposed to be funny, I certainly didn't get it.
I will stick with it though, not much else on the go.
I felt the same. No idea if its the same people that were behind Green Wing, but wanted to like Sirens at least as much. Watched it last night on Sky+ with the Mrs and the general opinion between us was that we probably won't bother with the rest of the series. I will stick with it though, not much else on the go.
Maybe some of my disappointment was due to the casting of Rhys Thomas. I just feel he can't act - he's wooden.
