We've had it for nearly 4 years now. The box is basically a Freeview receiver with built in HDD recorder and downloadable content from BT via the net. The good thing with that is if you have a download limit on your internet usage, BT Vision downloaded content bypasses that. They have recently added BBC iplayer to it which works very well. The films in standard definition are instant start so no waiting around and now we have BT Infinity the HD ones are ready in about 5 minutes, they have to be cached first.
The only issue i have is the picture quality, we use the HDMI 1080i and it doesn't seem as bright as our normal tv picture but it could be that we have the original silver box rather than the latest black one.
It used to lock up occaisionally but we haven't had that for over a year now so the automatic updates must have addressed those problems.
Overall it works pretty well for us, we just need it record more than 2 channels at a time!

Thanks for the replys, really appreciated :-)
I will have to get a digital aerial, is there one type that anyone can recommend ?
Also is the vision box double coax? If so maybe I can get the installer to use my existing sky + cables.
I think I will definitely swap as I already have their top broadband and download films from iTunes, this will save me £35 a month :-)

I have Sky, the mother has BT Vision, and I will never ever even consider changing, just my opinion, and maybe a one off but there aren't as many channels, not a massive choice of film and the bloody things constantly breaks! The internet is slow and the upload speed is crazy slow, and that breaks 3 times a month too, the phones just stopped working the other day and they have sent a guy out 4 times in as many months supposedly fixing the issue.....whereas with my house we havent had a single tv, internet or phone issue in 2 years.
Hope this helps.
