Was channel flicking and caught it after about 5 mins in on BBC Four. Really excellent program and didn't have a clue about this fixation for the brand back in the 20/30's so was nice an educational aswell. Well put together and researched I thought (from a leymans point of view anyway)smile

Just wondering if anyone else stubmbled across this last night?

Found it here if anyone is interested - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00j4c2s

Very interesting indeed. Reminded me a bit of the current middle eastern extravagances.

Yes, good point. No doubt we'll see a similar program in 70 years time of Veyrons decaying outside in the heat covered in sand hehe

An excellent repeat. Those who don't get Gulzars Phantom should see this programme.

I would have said they were more akin to the tuning/customisation houses that are favoured by the middle east, rather than Gulzars lick of paint (even if it is gold).

The program also helped to explain what made Great Britain so "great" back then. It had the ability to export luxuries on such a grand scale that simply would not be possible anymore.

Superb show.

Really sad seeing some of them neglected, priceless, but still neglected.
