Watched (the majority of) Senna on Sky movies last night.

Can we expect a few racing flicks like this one as a result of the insight offered up by Senna?

If the screenwritten stuff can hit as hard as the documentary, I hope so.

I'd have thought Hemsworth would have slimmed down a fair bit for this role after the Thor/Avengers physique.

James Hunt certainly wasn't this wide:

In Thor:

In fact he wouldn't have fitted in an F1 car if he was that shape.

confused What a very odd physique. Must be trying to emulate the comics pretty much literally.

Blimey, I thought we all looked like that on PH...

To be fair F1 cars were a lot roomier back in the 70s! smile

A behind the scenes featurette with some footage from the film, shown as part of the BBC Monaco Grand Prix coverage, can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vQehxpRh7Q

Probably too much effort to lose it all and then build it back up again for Thor 2

Other than his width he isn't a bad match for Hunt IMO (as major hollywood stars go!)

Jackie Stewart did a track test of some 80s or 90s car and commented on how uncomfortable it was, said he wouldn't have put up with it in his day.

'Rush' looks good, I remember the original rivalry between Lauda and Hunt and being surprised when I found out they were good friends off the track; hope the film doesn't subvert that memory.

Hot on the heels of the UK trailer, a US trailer has now been released.

It is longer and, IMHO, gives a more rounded overview of the film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA3XN54J8nY

US trailer Video taken down.

This has the potential to be the greatest motor racing movie ever.

Fingers crossed.

Hope it's going to be good (Howard has form), but the trailer looks a bit sensationalist.

Woman at work's husband plays a number of parts in this film, so I've been following it with interest.
