Been looking forwards to it for ages, not sure I'm going to like the American-ness of it.

I always thought Torchwood had more possibilities than they gave it, could have been a bit like a British X files.

I used to like the Britishness of Torchwood and the humour, now it's got American seriousness and crappy soundbites. What was that last section about? American doctor has ridiculously sexy legs though.

I don't remember Children of Earth being quite so... cheesy. It's been Americanified too much.

I think the CIA guy was rather pissed off at having to pay £7 for a bridge. wink

I enjoyed it. Good start to the series.

Shows just how Americanised it is when they got to see this first episode last week.

It's ok.

Enjoyable Hokum.

A few minor stars, a bigger budget, faster moving, hmm......less is more, but Hey Ho!

Yes, I've walked along there. smile

Didn't like the first episode & also think Americanisation isn't good. Quite frankly I thought it was a load of old bks.

Since when have US laws been applicable in the UK - that extradition bit at the end really annoyed me, with the typical US/Hollywood assumption that they can tread all over other country's legal processes whenever they feel like it

hehe

And being a Torchwood geek they mention laws brought into effect after the events of the last series.

I was really excited about this, but i am hoping they can keep it a bit quirky and not to showy american as the series progresses.
