The all too short run of Spooks is one of the highlights of my TV year.
As they are starting to run adverts for it, I can only guess the return is imminent.Any other fans on here, any guesses to what will happen... Will Harry Pearce finally die? I am guessing that if he does, it will be the end of the show.

Think I saw them filming some of Series 10 on the South Bank a couple of months back - certainly looked like Peter Firth/Harry Pearce on the Thames 'beach' amongst the cameras. I'd be surprised if it surfaces until the early Autumn tho'- summer is usually reserved for 'light entertainment' or re-runs...

Long live Harry Pearce, or he can always be brought back in flashbacks.
Please reveal Nothing smile In USAmerica where we persist in calling it MI-5 (yes with hyphenrolleyes) at least in the upper West Coast, are 1 maybe two series behind. We just killed Roz off (again, for good? No body was shown scratchchin) a couple of weeks ago. Waiting now to see who Lucas/John really is... Is that enough clue to where we are? It must be mid-S9...
Except for an over reliance on Muslim-ish peoples causing all the ills of the world, and keeping Rupert Penny-Jones about 3 years too long, it's the best show you've sent us for years, until Luther.

read an article saying that it was return shortly for the FINAL Series... thanks BBC... dropping something else good.
Granted the last couple of series have not been as good, but I suspect that again is due to the amount of money Kudos are being paid to make the show.
Still on the plus side, we can always watch "Hattie Jacques" drama's on BBC4

That's a shame, I really enjoy Spooks. I hope they go out on a high.

Well if they insist on spending every penny on the sodding Olympics, (that i know very few even have the slightest interest in), everything else will suffer.
Doctor Who and F1 for instance.

As it will for the next few years till they have paid off the debt from it.

Stupid thing is, in getting rid of F1 and ending spooks, they are getting rid of probably the 2 finest things they do.

To be fair its Kudos who are calling it quits - the Beeb tried to talk them out of it.

Has Al Queda not been the biggest threat to these shores since the (semi) demise of PIRA?

Like Spooks a lot. Can't abide that Roz woman. She looks like a spoilt brat.

As an aside, and as this is the last season, would it be an idea to do a remake of 'The Professionals'? I could see that working. Part Spooks, part Strike back.

Hmm remake of the professionals an interesting concept and sadly I am now thinking about what they would drive biggrin

In all seriousness, this would be a fantastic marketing opportunity for Ford!

I'm amazed how many like Spooks.

It was okay, a few years ago but it has become absolutely dire recently. Plodding, predictable with ridiculous twists. Awful programme.
Good riddance.
