As expected it was a very lightweight article. The pretend race was ridiculous, why not just have Balding drive the course without the gimmick of a non-race?

They could have mentioned (as I am assuming the vast majority of Countryfile viewers are unfamiliar with the sport) that hillclimbing is an excellent starter motorsport having classes for standard roadcars yet also features dedicated race cars and ultra-high tech single seats.
