Channel 4 and E4 are stopping showing their endless repeats of Friends after tomorrow woohoo

Time for them to show something new.

They claim its so that they can refresh their programming. Its obviously got nothing to do with the fact that they lost out in the bidding war for the new contract to Comedy Central. hehe

Fabulous news! I'm delighted. I'll break it gently to the OH later.

Thank God for that.

I used to find it mildly amusing in places and watched most of it the first time around. I reckon I must have seen most of the episodes at least 4 or 5 times (not deliberately either).

That's a shame, it was always nice to know there was an episode of friends on......

I don't know, it was usually the case that any episode you put on would be one you watched as recently as a few weeks ago.

Yep... especially ones where Jennifer Aniston was standing in a draught....

It might be 16 years ago but hello...

Well yes but still, I find that most episodes can be watched again and again and again.

Friends has not aged well. nono

I've watched a couple of episodes again and it's painful.

I still would.

My ex-wife was often compared to her. In fact you can still see the similarities.

I'd rather watch Friends than the current crop of st they have been showing like Everwood, 90210, Smallville etc.

Then the comedy programs such as How I met your mother, My name is Earl, and The big bang theory, are already being shown just as much as Friends and they're all repeats as well, but due to being newer and having fewer episodes, the time frame from showing the same episode is very short. Hopefully they'll show something new in its place.

IMHO How I met your mother is a worthy successor to Friends.

It's even funnier when you find out Neil Patrick Harris who plays Barney is actually gay!

As said in one of the above posts, HIMYM, Big Bang and Earl are already repeated in amounts near to friends. While they may be refreshing their programming, I'm willing to bet they lose alot of viewers and money from advertising.
