The culture of the school must take a large part of the blame for raising this generation of sub-human scum. If this is the state of the majority of comprehensives then there is just no hope whatsoever. That deputy-head teacher is a complete mong.
All I can hope for is it's just the children and adults playing up to the cameras and is not a reflection of the standards in today's schools, although I fear that may be rather optimistic.

How pharking thick must that Carmalita (sp) be for carrying on with her accusation knowing full well that CCTV will reveal the truth?!?
Still, I doubt that she would be that bothered about being excluded
Mr. Drew clearly models himself on David Brent but he seems to have the measure of most of the pupils. I quite like him.

Has it? I live bang opposite the old site (the school has moved to a new site this term) and having known lots of people connected with the school and 3 members of family having gone/going to Passmores I'd say it has a good reputation.Not surprised. That school has always had a bad reputation.
I can't recall seeing one fight outside, 99% of the pupils are well behaved outside the grounds, the staff are very polite and freindly and as far as I am aware the school gets results.
I'm quite sorry that the school has moved site to be truthfull.

Well, I haven't lived in Harlow for 13 years, but during my time there Passmores was certainly not regarded as one of the best. Well I suppose the teachers are only allowed to punish these children how they are governed to do so , just seems that when I was at school I was worried about getting thrown out of school for bad behaviour. I believe that this softly softly approach is not working (as shown).
Perhaps the teachers are not allowed to MTFU but the parents are the next port of call.

The original site on Tendring Rd (the one in the documentary) closed its doors at the end of the spring term 2011. But then what do I know I only live opposite the old site.

Schools don't exist in isolation from the rest of society, if schools have gone soft it's because successive generations have either wanted them to, or don't care that they have.

The accusation from the teenage girl shows precisely why we can't "MTFU".
You want to blame someone, look at the parents who immeditely believed her daughter rather than the teacher. I'm intrguied by the reaction this series gets as some peopple wake up to exactly what we have to put up with day to day and how badly our hands are tied. I also think this school is incredibly brave for letting the cameras in.
