Today for the first time I watched the original Wall Street front opening credits to ending credits, never actually seen the film in its entirety, nor have I ever paid much attention to it despite its cult following, not to mention the countless looks of disbelief amongst people when I tell them I've nevr seen it. Almost as bad as saying never watched Scarface (which I have by the way many times).

I am completely enthralled with this movie! I was utterly hooked by its plot and wanted more at the end, to which its sequel wall street money never sleeps failed miserably imo to deliver, less m. Douglas' acting that is.

I loved the whole 80's themes and its message resally had me wanting to be a money hungry trader. Your thoughts?

A bit off topic but have you seen Rogue Trader? I have similar feelings about that. To most it probably isn't an amazing film, but I love it. Watched it dozens of times. Love the 90's nostalgia in it.

I like both Wall Street and Rogue Trader, especially the former. Wall Street 2 wasn't a patch on the first - trying way too hard to wear its liberal heart on its sleeve, creating a 'forced' as opposed to 'fluid' storyline for todays more 'enlightened' (as the liberal 'elite' like to see it) generation.

The book that leeson wrote is also well worth a read.

Love both these films. Had waited a long time for the sequel (including the release date being back for some reason) agree, it was a good film, but not nearly as good as the original.
