Just thought I'd let you all know, remember it fondly from my childhood, think they're showing one every Monday as Goldeneye was last week. Also I've just noticed, the baddie reminds me a lot of Bernie Ecclestone.

Carver was based on Robert Maxwell according to the writer.

The "US Airbase - South China Sea" would actually appear to be RAF Lakenheath according to the tail markings on those F15s biggrin

I like how the air tanks move position when he goes under water.

One of the better opening scenes. Brosnan was good at them.

Yeah but its not a good film- how does the drill move vertically upwards through thr ship, Bond in a saloon car (only because they paid more cash then Aston...), he appears to be embarassed to say the one-liners and the marksman is a stereotype German.

In fact, I never enjoyed any of the Brosnan films.

The beginning of the downfall of Brosnans Bond.

Only decent one he did was Goldeneye, the next three films seemed to be more about the gadgets and action than story, Bond films may be far-fetched a lot of the time, but the last ones he did were OTT IMO.

Brosnan - good bond is sadly awful films (Goldeneye excluded, that's possibly the best 'old' Bond film)

Saying that though, I think the new Daniel Craig Bond films are a hell of a lot better, made me want to buy the Bond books as that's apparently the story they're going to follow.

I prefer the Swan Lee recording of the theme song that never was.

The producers dropped this version at the last minute because they wanted to use an artist more globally recognised, hence the Sheryl Crow song.
