I was hooked on this programme when in Florida last yr.

The one that stick in my mind was a guy who had a "cobra" body shell , turned out to be a Shelby shell if I remember right.

They said it's worth about 75k but we will give you 15k now.

The muppet went and took it, Is this the same programme that's on uk tv at mo, not had chance to take a look.

Was that the one where the bloke had a recovery contract, got paid $300 to remove it and it turned out to be a genuine Cobra shell?

Love Pawn Stars, I love the way Rick has a "buddy" for just about every possible field of expertise.

I'm addicted to it. I record every one on sky and sift through them all and watch the new episodes on History every Monday (along with American restoration and American pickers - all quality programmes) and think its brilliant. I like Chumlee.

It's a fine show indeed, fascinating to watch, and as above, I love the way he's got a friend for everything - American Civil War sword, let me get my American Civil War sword bloke in. Indian charm, I'll just run that past my Indian charm lady, Cuckoo Clock, well just let me run that by... You get the picture......

Chumlee is great. Rick seems to know his stuff when it comes to American history.

Not as good as Storage Wars though.

Becoming hooked on this too. Tonight's show required an aircraft expert for a Piper.

Only seen one episode of that, it was certainly interesting. One thing, are those containers unclaimed or what? That's what I didn't understand.....

They are unclaimed for whatever reason, some great finds in them, but also a lot of crap. I was amazed at the value of Barrys baby baby grand piano.

Pawn Stars does make the business look nicer than it is. If you want reality, watch Hardcore Pawn. They show it like it really is, not pretty!!

All about location, Pawn Stars is in Las Vegas, Hardcore Pawn is in Detroit. Both appear to show the best and worst sides of the business.

I'm pretty sure they shook hands on $35k, paid $60k on build costs then sold for $120k....I see nothing wrong with that.

Barry Weiss, "The Collector". The oldest of the bunch, Barry owned a produce company until he retired and is only looking for a few collector's items to keep. He sells or donates everything else. Barry is the best financed of the group and is the only one not in it for financial profit.
