Enjoying it as a whole, Glenister trying not to be to Gene Hunt, the BMW and David Suchet not being Poirot!

Frustrating that the second series is showing now, but it didn't appear as "New" in my EPG, so I thought it was a repeat. Missed the first one, only noticed the second part-way through so missed a bit, and my series link didn't record the third episode for some reason.

Bit of personal trivia .... the garage location is about half a mile from my better half's house.

Out of interest, would you mind pisting where that is?

Absolutely loved the first seties, this second one is far too much of a slow burner for me to recommend to anyone but I'm enjoying it.

The character Mia, seems so calculatingly evil.

I really like the credits, so haunting.

I can see from my posts above that I didn't think much to the ending...
That's understandable as it did drop us from a high smile

It's on the main Swansea to Brecon road in Abercrave. Most of the rest seems to be filmed around North Wales.

Thanks for that - I was hoping it was going to be North Wales.

Much of the last series was filmed around Portmadog, Caernarfon, Rhyd Ddu.

A friend who has a house in the depths of the forest around that part of Snowdonia was approached by a TV production company for permission to use his house for a drama but once they told him the subject, he said no way as he was worried if recognised it would attract all kinds of wierdos.

We'll never know if it was for this program or something else.

The first part of this thread from 2011 has no connection to the current series on BBC1 Wales and BBC4 apart from the same name. The first series of the one currently showing wasn't aired until 2018.

Bit confused now.

Was series 1 the one with the guy who had an unconventional way to pick up girlfriends and the 2nd series about the schoolgirl who was a little unhinged?

That'd explain why I've started watching this series and can't connect any of it to anything i've seen before.

The first series of the drama currently being discussed now in 2020 was about women getting abducted. From memory, one girl escaped and was found dead. It wasn't made until probably 2017 as it was aired in 2018. The original programme discussed in this thread from 2011 starring Philip Glenister has no connection to the current drama.

Currently loving series 2 of this , its pretty much everything I want in a dark, gripping Police drama. One thing I can't work out though, why is part of the dialogue in English and part in Welsh, the characters seem to chop and change at will ?
