The final result was incredible. Very smart people. Amazing how they reverse engineered the process so successfully.

Superb show. Missed the first 20 minutes but enjoyed the rest.

Do you think they'd like another volunteer?!

Superb. It's been a while since I've sat and watched a documentary and that was fascinating.

Just watching it on C4+1 now.

Really interesting, and it's great to see the enthusiasm of the people involved. A real passion for their research. It's always a bit strange to hear such strong regional accents on a geek though!

Enjoying Alan's VoiceOver as well. "TutanAlan". Brilliant.

Really annoyed with myself for falling asleep with about 15 minutes to go!!

Not that it was boring by any stretch of the imagination hehe

On the contrary, it was a magnigicent piece of work and a refreshing reminder that in amongst the all-pervasive, brain-numbing reality shows are the gems of actual reality.

A fabulously detailed, intimate and dignified program.

Godspeed TutanAlan, here's a glass (ok a coffee, as it's morning and work) to you smilebeer

I got the impression Alan was a true diamond of a guy.

The mummy idea was probably hatched in the pub, and nobody thought he'd go through with it. Alan would show them!

Bet his family and mates (whilst a bit sad) were laughing when they watched that programme, and that's all Alan wanted.

RIP chap, and well done.

10PS asked me if I wanted to be a mummy this morning - we may have been at crossed purposes as to the definition of the word mummy!! hehe

We thought it was a good doc, one of the more interesting ones.

Great show and Alan did appear to be a great guy who was dignified about his near future.

RIP TutanAlan!

The Body Farm is absolutely fascinating (if a little bit whiffy). There are all sorts of bodies left in all sorts of places/in cars/under tarps/in shallow graves to build up a database of decomposition, which helps forensic pathologists and forensic archaeologists learn about the processes of decay and colonisation by animals/plants/fungus etc.

All the bodies used are donated by volunteers. It's cutting edge research that's assisted in several successful us prosecutions. It's a recognised work leader in the field.
