Still watch it but just the last few seasons its not been what it was ?.
I know its probably hard for the writers as they have covered so many topics but I think now is enough.

What say you the good people of PH ?

Rod.

It's race was run quite a few series ago. Are there even any "originals" still in it? Used to be regular viewing in our house but we have give it up now, no where near as good.

I've really enjoyed the latest series - at the moment it's one of the few programmes I actually watch (though I missed it tonight so will be using 4od).

Gave up 2 or 3 seasons ago.
Not funny anymore, time to kill it off.
Liked it best when car thief Steve was in it.
Quite like Marty the tourettes sufferer as well.

Wasn't there a one off with him and the old neighbour Kev to celebrate the 100th episode? Shame they couldn't get more of the original cast back in itbut James McAvoy and his wife have rather moved on to other things.... hehe

Has almost certainly run it's course. Flogging a dead horse springs to mind.

I think another series is in production with some new characters but the Gallagher clan has been dilluted to nobody bar Frank. Is that Carl gone or does he come back one more time as a Copper?

It lost its sparkle when Ann Marie Duff and James McAvoy left.

It started going downhill when Paddy Maguire stopped being a big scary drug dealer. Once they tried to give him more than one dimension the whole Maguire family (who get far too much screen time) started to look a bit silly.

I saw half of one episode, didn't laugh once. Never bothered again.

While I'd probably known for a few series it only hit me in the latter stages of this series that it's done. I even said as much to Mrs B the other night!

I gave up on it after about series 3. I enjoyed the first series of the American version though (even though a lot of the storylines were heavily borrowed from the UK version).
