Deal or no deal how does it work

Went down to Bristol with Mrs WR about three years ago to be in the audience as a "pilgrim"...

They shoot one in the morning and two in the afternoon, or the other way round...can't remember...

The "contestants" are put up in a local hotel until they get have had their go,IIRC.
Episodes are usually filmed six months in advance unless "live".
Noel Edmonds is really good, putting everyone at ease.....a real professional.
Good fun, might go again......it's free...

So if they film 3 a day so 15 per week a contestant would potentially be there for two weeks and could win 1p worst case....
Yes, but they can say they have been on TV and to the dream factory......
(A ramshackled unit on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Bristol.....)

It's a raffle, and you can't lose.
Everyone wins at least 1p
I live the strategy people have. Everyone wins at least 1p

If I had te chance I'd simply start left to right for order of box selection
However for the prize quite a few first offers are in the £5k territory - thank you and good night I'll have a nice week skiing in val des

Can someone explain this:
At the start of the show they pretend to be surprised/delighted to be 'chosen' to play on that day.
But they then go on to confirm they chose their numbered box at 'random'.
How can all 22 of them have chosen their boxes at random?
They are picked by the production team to play that day so they could get a selection of people to pick at random with them being one of them.At the start of the show they pretend to be surprised/delighted to be 'chosen' to play on that day.

But even if 5 people from the 22 are selected to play that day, what if they both want to pick box number 1?
Do you know how it works or are you just speculating?
