Just wondering really, what age is it socially acceptible to turn over from say Radio 1, Kiss (if thats what it's still called confused ) and the like and over to radio 2?

I am 24, all of my friends still listen to radio 1 etc but i just can't seam to stand the majority music and the mind numbing chat that goes on.

So what does every one think? Am I getting too old too fast?

Now after that time for my mid afternoon nap sleep

The time to worry is when you start listening to Radio 4.

I've been listening to Radio 2 on and off since I was 21 - wouldn't worry about it - if you like it, just listen!

Fooking hell. Listen to what you want to.

I can't stand radio 1 sometimes, so switch to radio 2. I don't get why there is Radio1 Xtra when all the normal Radio1 plays seems to be off the same play list!

Been listening to it for a while now- prob since i was 21.

Chris Moyles pisses me off no end, and i can't get Absolute until about 15-20mins into my commute- so its either BBC R2, or 5 live/ talksport.

Radio 4 is where it's at yes

John Humphrys is quite stern of a morn, but come evening, 18:30-19:00 is funnier than anything you'll find on telly.

29 BTW.

I'm 25 and have recently start listening to radio 4 in the car.

Radio 1 is complete trash and Radio 2 isn't far behind (although I don't mind Jeremy Vine) and commercial stations are just intolerable, so there isn't a whole lot of choice really.

Radio 4 is where its at. I once beat John Humphries in an arguement. I was rather proud!

Radio 1 is pretty poor, of which Chris Moyles is the worst offender. ENDLESS banal mind numbing chatter. At least Radio 4 talks about something interesting!

By the way, 26.

That and Radio 4 comedy is basically the finest around!

Try BBC 6music and you will NEVER look back.

No excuse if you are in your car, get a portable DAB radio and connect it to your soundsystem.

It's people like you that continue to listen to radio 1 that encourage tts like Moyles. smile

Jeremy Vine is not good for my blood pressure!

Chris Evans and Ken Bruce for me in the mornings (and depending on whether or not i'm at the office/on way to meetings), then I sometimes tolerate Steve Wright (music he plays is good but he's an idiot - much prefer it when Chris Tarrant is doing the show), then Drive Time with Simon Mayo on the way home (even better if I leave the office on time and get to the confessions at 17:40).
