Who prefers American Top Gear?

I've watched TG USA several times now and I find it much more entertaining than the UK version. Has anyone else seen it?

I admit I didn't get it at first but I'm into it now and it's quite refreshing considering our Top gear needs new material.

Yes for one reason.
Tanner can drive, none of the UK guys can.

The drifting shots with Tanner are largly uncut.
Every time you see a car on the UK version drifting you cant see whos driving it!
The episode with the Raptor is one of my all time favorite TV episodes.
Really narks me the UK version. (still watch though)
I prefer James Mays Toy Program.

I looked up who Tanner Faust was as I could not work out if I like him or if he irritates me.

Competes in Euro Rallycross, stunt drive in lots of big films (e.g. Iron Man 2) and also does Drift competitions. Best of all he holds long jump record in Hot Wheels truck which he did last year.

He walks the walk so will see if he grows on me.

also they are still at the simple cocking about jesting with each other stage, as opposed to the highly scripted type of cocking about that is just embarrassing with UK; points to Hammond's performance as the dining car attendant on the making a train challenge as a prime example.

TG USA eighteen series in though? who knows tbh.

i still watch it but i am finding it just as formulaic as the uk one. driving cars into each other . cheating on the challanges etc.
will continue to watch it but its not the must see the uk version is

tgusa is more about the cars, and their track is more interesting.

As good? No. This series is better than the first series of TG USA. Pleased they have moved slightly away from the UK format, and I agree the banter is at the simple stage mentioned before. I think US veRsion may well grow, and possibly grow better than the UK version, if our TG does not raise it's game. I also think the US versions a bit more of a car programme then UK, a which is more about entertainment with cars Involved.

I'd like to se the Aussie version just out of interest.

But if I had to put them in preference order it would be:
TopGear USA
Fifth Gear
TopGear UK

I definitely prefer TGUSA. I can actually watch an entire episode without hitting the FF button on the Sky remote, unlike TGUK or 5th Gear.

Although I watch them all, the USA version is far more entertaining and isn't presented by tts.

Have watched it a few times in trying to like it, but to no avail - I just cannot watch any American programme with any joy.
