Will probably be $hit but i hope I'm wrong. I like Frost/Nixon, but the rest of Howard's films are a bit too sentimental and schlocky for my tastes
(I did like Beautiful Mind a lot but was again a tad too sentimental).

Don't know much about the bloke playing Lauda but I liked Hemsworth in Thor, though that was a more action role than dramatic

Dunno how the duo will be portrayed in this but post-retirement Lauda was hugely fond of James.

It sounds promising, Lauda is having some input apparently and if you look at Joe Saward's blog you'll see the extent of the effort they've gone to to get the look right - including some beautiful 70s F1 car transporters.

After the success of "Senna", there are apparently a few motorsport-related projects knocking around the European and US movie industries. The good thing is that they seem to be 'based on fact' rather than made-up stories of the likes of 'Driven' etc.

A few suggestions if any Hollywood directors are reading (I'll take 15%) :

- A biopic of Tazio Nuvolari
- An account of the 1982 F1 season
- A biopic of Enzo Ferrari
- A Delorean movie (apparently been mooted with George Clooney as the man)
- A true account of Tim Richmond, allegedly the model of Tom Cruise's character in Days of Thunder - a shocking story for anyone interested.

I suppose I'm just a bit sceptical because of the fact that Senna was originally a fictionalized biopic and the treatment looked absolutely awful in comparison with what we actually fortunately got. The last movie about a racing driver I recall from hollywood was "Driven" with Sly Stallone and it was horrendous. Hopefully this will rise above that though
