Films that should have had sequels

Some films should never have a sequel, well some films should even have a first viewing...

That aside, what films do you think they could have made a great sequel too but didn't.


I'd love to have seen a sequel to this, something a bit more sci-fi showing what would have happened as the 'next step'

The Matrix should have had a sequel as should the first three Star Wars films; charting how Anakin becomes Darth Vader would have been excellent.

I also think Aliens should have a sequel. Pity they stopped the franchise there.

There was talk of one for a long time - even a title announced I think. But all gone quiet now, sadly.

I'd like to see a sequel to The Thing, the 1982 John Carpenter one.

One of BW's best roles I'v always thought.

Was apparently written as a trilogy but didn't do as well as was hoped for (not sure why?) and MNS's career went dramatically downhill...
