What film explained the Blue Peter Garden vandalism

I was talking to my mrs this morning and something came up about when the Blue Peter garden was vandalised and we remember watch a film or TV programme/episode where it basically said the damage was done by the main character- possibly in a drunken fight??.

Can anyone remember what this was on??.
