Getting into Game of Thrones and my OH likes True Blood, and we are starting to realise how much nudity is in it.

So you're watching it and you find someone attractive, at some point in the season they will get naked.

Its fantastic! woohoo

Im watching other programs now and wishing HBO had produced them.

Are there any other HBO porn programs we should be watching? Or should we stick porn on when the adverts come on.

I switched on the TV in my hotel room the other day (in San Francisco) to find Katie Morgan completely naked presenting a HBO TV Series.

Nudity meter from 2012 for HBO shows here:

It looks like 'Rome' will be your best bet.

I might order True Blood. I remember when it was on Freeview a few years back, I only caught a couple of episodes, but it looked good.

Isn't the 'Spartacus' series HBO? It's on one of the Freeview channels and usually has some nekkid flesh on display. Actually, with all that shagging and blood-letting it should be called 'Spurticus'.

Without a doubt Spartacus takes the title on this one. Vikings is also worth mentioning.

I seem to remember Californication having plenty scenes as well.

I know this is all tongue in cheek, but do you really think that a programme is improved by irrelevant nudity?
TO clarify since the invention of the internet if you want to masturbate you can find almost anything you can even think of within 2 seconds. Seeing tits and fannies on television is just not that special any more is it?

I agree with this. It seems that some US shows go out of their way to push the boundaries without any particular reason for doing so (it doesn't improve / enhance the story). The same is true of constant swearing.

I thought that too in some of the bits of Spartacus I saw (fnaar). When they drop the f-bomb it just comes across as gratuitous. I'll gloss over the use of an Anglo-Saxon expletive in a series set in ancient Rome.

Life is erotic and passionate, it's an adult program so why not. No different than nudes in art.

But yes at times it can get ridiculous.

I agree with the constant swearing but at times nothing else will do. If something as extreme as some scenes from Game of Thrones happened in my life I wouldn't stand there and blurt out Gosh he chopped off his head!

Yes there is porn but there is also a nymphomaniac sitting next to me, not all nudity is porn.

Because it is irrelevant.
Tow women fingering each other in the background whilst blokes discuss proper stuff is just a bit daft.
Naturally Im not talking about relevant nudity in sex scenes or whatever, Im talking about the constant shoehorning of tits into scenes for no reason.

Tits in a shoehorn eh? I've googled and it fails your 2 second test. Took me at least 30.

I thought much the same about House of Cards - sex scenes were gratuitous and added nothing to the story.

Nice norks on the reporter gal, mind.

It's simpler than that - in the US you can't really show ANYTHING risqué on terrestrial network TV, nothing - one nipple slip or 'f-bomb' and it's pistols at dawn - don't know why.

The subscription stuff isn't regulated in the same way (might have be like how Sky used to be able to broadcast soft-core but Freeview couldn't - something about the signal being encoded or something) so to differentiate themselves from their free-to-watch competition they go all-out on the naughty stuff - so we get the great big-budget gritty stuff like The Wire, GoT, The Sopranos etc etc which has subject matter which you wouldn't usually see even in UK TV, but you also get lots of T&A and gratuitous swearing.

But blokes discussing proper stuff whilst two women are fingering each other in the background IS daft. Unless they're gay blokes.
