Just a heads up that this starts tonight at 9pm on Discovery. I quite enjoyed the last series so looking forward to this one. I hope Ed China has a part to play this time round.

He spells his christian name as "Edd". His actual name is Edward John China, so I've no idea where the extra "d" comes from. Odd. But not as odd as a name like TreyC.

Pretty good so far. He got the rx7 painted for what seemed like a really good price.

Good start to the series. Very enjoyable watch. Didn't know Manheim's had auctions in Australia. Thought they were a UK company.

I'll be interested to see what that Escort goes for in this country… rust free (I'm assuming), unmolested 3 door MK1 Escort?

Got to be worth 8 grand or more (for the record I think that MK1 & 2 Escorts are massively over-priced… but what do I know?)

"The international currency of car dealing is the US dollar"

Yeah, of course it is, Mike! Way to try to pre-emptively head off all the tweets about using dollars not pounds biggrin

This series finished in the US a while ago on the same channel as Wheeler Dealers. Assuming that it is only just coming to the UK now it shows Attaboy's focus is not it's domestic market

Yes, I think Mike has apirations to make it big in the US. Just look at the number of American cars he has done on wheeler dealers in the last couple of years. He clearly wants his shows to appeal to the U.S. viewers.

Good luck to him I say.

Because old Ford, stupid money, I've never really understood it, there was a time you couldn't give them away.

Im not sure why they even bother with this bks, just use the currency of the country they're buying in.

Also what was the red warning light that was on in the Escort test drive?

Only a fool would pay nearly £10k for a LR Freelander at an auction.

Why would a dealer stick that car in an auction unless they wanted rid and to offload quick.

Pushing the clutch and turning the steering won't tell you anything other than it turns the wheels especially with a Freelander

What a surprise about the air bag light just so happens to be dodgy connection when it was fine when he bought it. Also what the hell with driving it to Scotland because it better for 4x4 drive cars and its a freelander. Im sure they are making these faults up to make fake drama for the America market.

This converting to dollars is also fking annoying too.

Got to say though atleast that garage has access to some nice diagnostic equipment with that autologic machine stupid money though.
