Things that stand out.
Eddie Hall deadlifting 370kg 17 times (I think) wit just shorts on, everyone else was in a powerlifting suit.
And Eddie Hall and Benni Magnusson going head to head for the deadlift record at 461kg!!!
Watched it back in April Things that stand out.

well, what video recordings there were anyway

I was lucky enough to attend a deadlift workshop with Beni (or B as he refers to himself) a few weeks back with a very small group.
Very interesting guy and he took the time to talk us through his programming which is incredible.
Big things to come from him and Eddie, 31 and 26 years of age.

Yeah always enjoy when it's on. Gutted for Eddie Hall dropping 461kg after having up meaning it doesn't count as a good lift!Things that stand out.

I met Terry Hollands and Brian Shaw (Worlds strongest man) back in the Summer.
Had my pic taken between them.
Now, I'm 6ft 5 and a powerfully built Director but when I showed the snap to people they literally couldn't believe how big those guys were.
They are not just big, strong men like people think, they are freaks and if you met one I can assure you, your idea of a big bloke would be recalibrated in an instant.

Agreed. I once met Mark Felix, and shaking his hand meant my hand just vanished within his grip. He was bigger than the doorway by a long way!!Been watching a fair bit of it. Eddie Hall seems like a nice bloke and is massively impressive in most events, makes some look really easy.
Prichett was good today (especially running with the yoke/tractor tyres) but he does seem to be a bit of a dick and the cool sunglasses look doesn't help.
Makes for really watchable TV, always has done, and I know very little about the sport and am definitely not a hulking strongman myself.

Yep, watch this every year and always enjoy it, despite being somewhat dissimilar to a strongman myself.
I think with a couple more years of experience behind him, Eddie Hall will be a real force to be reckoned with, but at the moment Thor, Brian Shaw and Big Z are stunning.
Quite fancy going to watch the UK qualifying heats, but can't find much info about it online for next year.
