Haven't seen it yet but the sight in the preview of an Esprit being tormented in mud makes me sad. Why do they do it?

Because another Top Gear special will do more for the economy than any second hand lotus will. Except maybe the Underwater Bond car.

I don't think being stuck in some mud really stacks up against what the rioters end up doing to it!

What does Meh actually mean? Is it like Bork, spork or whooshparrot?

They do it for entertainment value and because the cost of a Lotus Esprit is peanuts in TV programme making terms.

I will watch it and hopefully enjoy it. Abusing an Esprit won't bother me because, whilst I agree they are lovely cars and I like them a lot, they aren't exactly in short supply.

Appreciate your honesty but I like cars and don't like to see them abused for the sake of entertainment. Reaffirms my suspicion that Top Gear is not a program for car lovers.

Did you have outrage for all the other cars over the years that have been modified and used on the various other long challenges or just over that one car?
