The Avengers eh, cue for a picture of Lotus Elan...

Oh, er, sorry, I didn't notice the Lotus Elan.;)
I read about Brian Clemens death a few days ago; his is one of those names that you see so many times tagged on to the end of your favourite films or TV programmes but seldom see mentioned elsewhere, so sad when great talent isn't recognised or acknowledged publicly.
... and The Persuaders! Compulsive Sunday afternoon viewing in our house, even my mum enjoyed it (but I didn't register why at the time). Brian Clemens and Terry Nation were responsible for quite a number of the screenplays. Both utterly creative guys who helped create a seamless seventies for me.
He wrote some great series, really liked the New Avengers and the Professionals, was a bit too young for the Avengers although I did have model cars of Steed's Bentley and Emma Peel's Lotus Elan. He also wrote the screenplay for one of my favourite films And Soon The Darkness about a girl disappearing in France whilst on a cycling holiday. Dates from the early 70's.
Just watching an episode of Thriller.
An often overlooked TV series from Brian Clemens
I always thought it was called The White Rolls Royce but the actual title is One Deadly Owner
As a kid I remember being scared by this and its well worth a watch
Donna Mills looking gorgeous I mean genuinely attractive
Jeremy Brett pre Sherlock Holmes (by 15 or so years)
And a lovely mid 60s Rolls Royce
It's just like its Saturday night 9pm the 16th February 1974 again
