Agree Martin is quality in his own TV shows so this could be good. It's easy to forget in all the hype that TG has been a bit ste for a few series now so this line-up could make it worth watching again.

Guy Martin will certainly bring some humour to the team and likely to introduce some two wheeled stuff to the program. Jodi Kidd is no mean peddler behind the wheel and quite easy on the eye. Philip Glennister I'm not sure about. His knowledge of cars is very limited and he's not that quick either.

Jodie Kidd is so boring and past it on the modelling front.

Philip Glenister is watchable and adds some entertainment on 'For The Love OF Cars', but I'm not sure if his approach will grow tiring quickly.

Guy Martin is OK, but he does seem to be more of a one man band.

Jodie Kidd .... Big mistake IMO. frown

Not sure the northerner is a great idea either. Yes if it was 'how to dismantle a lorry or motorbike' kind of show, not so sure heading for the South of France in a GT3 kind of fella. Still comes across aa a great bloke though.

Bring back Tiff Needel et al. 5th gear needs to rise from the ashes and head for the BBC.

Jodie Kidd is a real petrol head, but she is a pretty terrible presenter. The classic car programme that she does has OK content but is utterly cringe-worthy when it comes to strained "banter", etc.

The line-up looks terrible.

I didn't mind TG as light-entertainment with some videos of nice cars thrown in.

Still rumour at the moment...

Agree with the comments on Jodie Kidd - much prefer VB-H - Rebecca Jackson would also be a better option that Jodie Kidd - she comes over as really wooden on 'The Classic Car Show'

Guy Martin will be fantastic - personally I didn't think her would get the job due to his northern accent and top gear being a huge export, but I suppose a lot of countries have to be translated anyway and the US and australia have there own versions. So good news.

It would be good to have a relatively unknown person, Jodie Kidd why not but Glenister I am not sure about.

Heh I predicted Guy Martin straight away, however as much as I love the bloke especially as an engineering and motorcycle racing type myself I can't really see anyone making top gear worth watching now JC has gone. Other two could have been replaced easily but not him.

They need a completely new show, not Top Gear just another format completely, different name, different content IMO. It might work all right then.

Yep, agree. The Classic Car programme really had the potential; but was rather strained. Although hopefully Jodie Kidd will have more chemistry with her co-hosts.

I think this could be what Top Gear needs tbh. It was starting to get lame IMO with their silly antics. It will soon be "Jeremy who?"

I was told that the target audience is 9 year olds! That's me covered then! wink I still remain surprised that Chris Harris wasn't chosen for the job. Top driver, presenter and a sense of humour!

I personally think the current format was well past it's best. A boorish presenter with two sycophantic assistants. The dialogue had become too scripted and the humour based on genitalia jokes.

She was terrible on that show.....I couldn't watch it because of her. Funny looking bird, too - not my cup of tea.
