Worlds strongest man

Yes very good- fair play to Brian Shaw but would have preferred Big Z to have won as at 39 he can't have many more years left to compete at this level. Hard to believe that he had been runner up 6 times in addition to 4 wins . Eddie Hall a lot fitter and still young enough to be a future winner.
At age 27 he has time to improve.
The thing us at that level you are up against the best of the best.
Shaw and Thor are both a fair bit taller than Eddie and he can do nothing about that dso events like the deadlift will favour him but there are others where the longer levers of those guys come into play.
In 2014 I went to a PA and met both Brian Shaw and Terry Holkands, had a pic taken with them which alas I've now lost.
I'm a big guy. 6ft 5 and over 20 stone. When I showed the pic of me between Brian and Terry my family couldn't believe it as I looked like a child!!
You really cannot gain a sense of how enormous they are from the show as they, and the presenters are all big, but put them on say the door of a nightclub and NOBODY is gonna cause trouble even though they are able to control their power.
They're very focussed and dedicated trainers who deserve more recognition I think.

Agreed- think they they said the other night that Big Z had a a 60 inch chest which illustrates your point. Was a little surprised that Thor didn't do better this year given all his size advantages although maybe the Game of Thrones commitments took away some of his focus? Never really understood why Terry Hollands never won WSM but not sure that he was ever a full time pro which I think some of the others guys are.
Best in years. Thor makes mistakes that cost him dearly. Halls fitness in question, but it was hot, although it's the same for everyone. The standard now is unbelievable, very surprised big Z couldn't lift the last stone, I wonder how long he will compete for, Colin Bruce says he doesn't do many events now.
Force my lad to watch it with me, this is the first year he really got into it, he's 8. I wondered where Big Z was going to bleed from this year, surprised by nowhere, clearly not trying hard enough.
Don't think Thors weight loss helped him but as he's pursuing TV/movie work, power bellys are probably not cool. Great final.

Big Z bled from his temple in his qualifying heat, one of the commentators mentioned it.I missed a few of the opening rounds, they seemed to pack the qualifying heats all close together. Glad I cought the final though. These guys are bloody impressive.
My fave event is still the Atlas stones, They did away with the "fingal fingers" event which is a pity, always enjoy watching that.
