If ever there was a reason to bring back some world-class political satire to the telly, now is surely the time?

Just watching this 'best of' from way back and I'm sat here soiling myself laughing.

The Thick of it was also fabulously good and surely deserves another run.

There's no characters/stories in news or govt like there was when Spitting Image was popular.

I don't think Fluck & Law did that.

I routinely think this.

2dtv, power monkeys, thick of it, are all good. But Spitting Image was a golden time. biggrin

And, as a long-time Spitting Image fan, I lasted about two minutes in to "Newzoids". A strange mix of puppets and CGI, and personally I thought it was attrocious.

Same people doing the voices, but the humour just wasn't there.

Our recent shenanigans around the way Brexit has been dealt with are almost beyond parody.

Never felt the love for Newzoids either. It seemed like a half-baked effort. CGI mouth expressions were terrible.

All these years later, and I still do the Neil Kinnock voice when I say "lovely".

Lovely, lovely, lovely.....

I still love the, 'nurses! nurses! nurses!'
the '87 special is still one of the best shows there is.

They could probably just show all the original series again and it will all be still relevant (just like Yes Minister/Prime Minister)

I know, right?

May
Boris
Farage
Sturgeon & Salmond
Corbyn
Abbott
Trump/Hillary

That's just politicians and all would be great.

Saw a Newzoids advert, never watched it before. The caricatures looked too nice, too clean, too pretty. Spitting Image caricatures brought out the ugliness in people that was part of the appeal.

Newzoids can't touch it, i really wanted it to be good but the humou is just not cutting enough, the jokes are too obvious.
