Your family is on Jeremy Kyle!

FML, when I last visited the UK my mother shamefully mentioned something regarding one of my cousins filming a session for the Jezza K show. It screened this morning.
Thankfully I am at work in West Papua with no reasonable internet, the only summary I can get so far is on the mirror newspaper website, and frankly that is more than enough.
And it now transpires it has very little to do with the cousin, it's based more on the hatred my Auntie has for her West African Son in Law.

And as a little bonus since the episode was filmed, they got back together, got pregnant, separated!

A chap who used to work for the same company was on JK once for nearly the same story, entitled "I Married my Wife for a UK Passport" or something along those lines. Clearly it worked, as he had just that, despite being born abroad.

Hard working chap though, wouldn't say no to anything when asked

I never understand this. Everyone comes away looking a total eejit (JK included) so why on earth volunteer?

Same applies to embarrassing bodies. The very nature of televising such issues is mind boggling.

At least with embarrassing bodies, they stand a good chance of sorting out the problem they go to them for.

Slebri'y, innit.

It can only be that they perceive any "fame" (and I use that term VERY loosely; infamy more like) as being better than none.

Money, sure I read somewhere you get paid a few grand to appear. Have often wondered how much they actually research, and if you and a few mates were good at acting you could invent a drama and make some money

I imagine it completely ruins your social and professional image (mind you not many people on there have a professional image to begin with), imagine trying to get a job after being on that show!
Will ruin your life that will..

Why not use the NHS like everyone else?

I don't think all of the procedures they do are available on the NHS. I agree that it's crazy the number of people that haven't spoken to their GP but are willing to go on TV for it nuts

Probably don't have to wait 6 months for an appointment on Embarrassing Bodies

I knew a bloke that got a call from their production company to go on as some woman was claiming to be his daughter, he'd never heard of her.

He told them to ps off.

I have met the presenter a few times. Not made up. Some referral stuff "you fink we're bad, my neighbours Nan is a fking hooker", often offer support and counseling services that are mostly ignored or used once.

One evening i heard about a lot of the things that don't make it onto the show, sad and shocking often criminal and highlighting the massive gap between those who can look after themselves and those that can't.

JK wanted to be rich, he knew the show would do that, he is rich. He definitely had a plan he stuck too.
