Thing is. They don't need to. Like him or loathe him. (I lean more towards like, but maybe not 100% like ) He always gives an answer. And is quite eloquent and can probably dance around several callers who try to outgun him. This is a guy prepared to stand up in the EU parliament and verbal bash most of the people in the room.

Caught a bit of this last week. (After Mays speech) I dunno if they vet the callers. (I imagine so)

But the Remoaner that was on (sounded someone over 50). Was easy picking for Nige. Mainly cause the guy was just ranting. And the lady in a same vein just told him he was terrible but as usual had no real point or facts to back it up

Whilst he had been praising May 's Brexit speech. Some callers wanted him to denounce her as not going far enough. Which he wouldn't, so he was relatively balanced IMO
