There's little point trying to work out E4s scheduling, but if I thought they had a plan for it, I'd say it was to splice in new shows in the same time slot as popular ones for a few weeks mid-series to try to help build an audience, but It's probably just as safe to assume they use a blindfold and a dartboard to work it all out.

That's a damn shame - I love the 9-9... don't think theres one character I don't like... even the supporting characters like Pontiac Bandit are gold!
