No right or wrong answer as I'm also looking for new films/tips.

For me it's where Steiner is dumped on by Stranski and left alone in Cross of Iron.

Fantastic

The volleyball scene in Top Gun is right up there but I'll go with the end of Blackadder IV.

Come And See.

The Wermachtt sack a small Russian village, killing and raping then rounding everyone else up and burning them alive in a church.

The Battle of Waterloo from Sergey Bondarchuk's epic 1970 film Waterloo. No CGI, there are 15,000 soldiers (not extras, they were Soviet Army soldiers) on the field, plus a lot of horses too.

Just a very small part from the very long final battle. Marshal Ney's cavalry charge that failed so badly - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97dBfdNrf9A

think about how the managed to choreograph something like that.

We were soldiers

I suppose from half way the whole thing is a battle scene.

From recently, I love the Tiger scene from 'Fury' - so tense and pretty accurate. Overall, it has to be the D-Day landing from SPR.

Accurate!! No no no no no.... It's Hollywood fantasy meets World Of Tanks nonsense.

A Bridge Too Far

When the character playing Digby Tatham-Warter talks to the German soldier sent to suggest a surrender

"Tell your general we are unable to accept his surrender. Don't have the facility to take you all prisoner. Sorry about that"

Gibraltar scene in Das Boot... Sinks to 280 metres onto a "shovel full of sand" and the long repairs that follow, eventually raising the submarine. Most realistic war film I've ever seen, complete opposite of Hollywood nonsense like "Fury".
