Could not see a thread, so thought I would get one started.
Just seen that Top of the Pops is on over Christmas, which was always highlight for me, any other highlights known about yet?

I know it's a (semi-) serious thread, but...
Queen's Speech?

BBC's Christmas TV 2017 page is next to useless...

I used to get excited about Christmas TV - in about 1980.

Same here. Watching TV is always low on my "things to do over Christmas" list.

I gave up getting excited when the Morecambe and Wise Christmas shows stopped being made.

As above, Xmas TV has not been good since the 20th century.

The thread should really be about Xmas specials on YouTube or Insta. Will DMO be up in his bloc in a Santa hat and get hass from da feds, for example.

I think there’s a Christmas Bake Off for those who are so inclined (I am biggrin).

Repeats, repeats, repeats...

I'll probably spend more time on YouTube than TV.

Preferable to having a soggy bottom at Christmas.

No idea what's on, but hoping for a Grantchester Xmas special if only for a chance to see the lovely Morven Christie.

I imagine there'll be a Paul O Grady at Battersea Dogs home show.

Pretty much the only thing I can guarantee we'll all watch.

I traditionally clear some space on my several TV recording boxes in time for the Christmas TV - sort of the equivalent of buying a couple of packs of blank video tapes, but for the last few years I might as well not have bothered. I guess the advent of on-demand TV has meant that broadcast schedules don't really mean as much as they used to.

Haven't seen much of what is scheduled yet, but league of gentlemen (REALLY hope it is done well!), and The Highway Rat will be watched.
