Two friends and I took part earlier this year in the pilot for a new TV series, "Mission, Ignition!" made by the production company East Media, who are now seeking contestants for more episodes.

I can't tell you anything about it, confidential, I'd have to kill you, except to say that we had a great time, and anyone here would too. Well, almost anyone.

Hey,
I was contacted by East Media to take part in this. It sounds very exciting.
I’ve been looking for the pilot episode as I’m interested in the format itself. Do you know if the pilot is available anywhere? If it was on channel 4 originally then I guess it may be on their 4OD site.
Thanks, Dawn

I know you can’t give details about show- but just wondering where about in Bedfordshire it was filmed?

I'm going to watch but not holding out much hope on it being any good.

I like Dario, and Howard seems nice enough and a petrolhead that many wouldn't have known about.

First episode is not the pilot that we did. Apparently, it's 'Ladies First"!

For anyone like me who was a Dave Allen fan, it conflicts with a DA evening on BBC2, so make sure you have access to iPlayer, All4 or can record one or other of them!

Enjoy!

Watching. (Apparently it was filmed on the airfield behind my house).

As much as I want the girls to win I have a feeling the Elan might take it.

I did wonder how they were going to find 2 identical cars for each episode. It seems they got around that problem by not bothering! I'm surprised H&S allowed canvas Converse trainers as appropriate footwear in an environment like that.

Not sure how they managed to get this on c4, there are a lot better car shows on lesser channels

I'm not convinced that the two teams are on site at the same time.

Ralph lives a few miles away. It’s his workshop in Little Staughton airfield in Beds/Cambs.

I was looking at the driving shots, it looked like they were passing Bicester's main hangar in those.

I had low expectations, they were entirely fulfilled.
Making them reassemble 2 completely different cars seems ridiculous.
I'll still watch next week for an excuse to moan again.

Pretty pointless show, but - at least it didn't have a clock ticking away, or a voiceover saying 'But there's a problem.......' every 30 seconds, nor did it have any real annoying chugga chugga guitars going on in the background like every other car show! smile
