Anyone else watching Condor? Excellent so far & they've ordered a second series already.

It's a 10 part TV series, based on the Robert Redford film / book "Three Days of the Condor" from the 1970s. (amusingly the book is called "Six Days of the Condor", but I guess they had to cut it down for the film).

It's just started on the Universal channel in the UK:

http://www.universaltv.co.uk/t/condor/s-1

It stars British actor Max Irons (son of Jeremy), William Hurt, Mira Sorvino and Brendan Fraser.

I saw the advert for this t'other day, saw the title and instantly thought of the most excellent, TDotC but didn't know if it was connected, I hoped it wasn't because the film is iconic, the series looks like the typical punch-punch/explosion/runaway serial twaddle. Didn't like the fact it had Jeremy Irons son as the lead either.
I really lked the spy serial Rubicon on a few years ago, but it was stcanned after one series.

I'll watch the first one, hoping it's good and first impressions are wrong. Can't think of any other intelligent spy programmes out there right now

I read the book years ago and thought it was a great read. The film wasn't bad and am looking forward to the TV Series.

Didn't read the book. Loved the film.

Eps 1 & 2 very good IMO. WELL worth a watch.

I just miss that fabulous music by Dave Grusin (top 10 music score of all time for me - you need to forgive sounds... of the time.. just check out the harmonies & brass arrangements)

watched it...erm, it's OK, not as wk as I thought all over, lil boring, lil formulaic, not a patch on the film and the lead is charmless...don't understand why the assassin didn't kill the bloke when she had the chance
I'll give it a few more eps to see it it gets more or less stupid

It's worth sticking with. I've watched all the first season now and I thought it was pretty good. Definitely better than The Jack Ryan TV show.

Yes it's a bit SJW at times, but that Hollywood nonsense is ruining most things these days.

The thing that stands out for me is...argh, can't recall name, was...Brendan Fraser. that's it. LIke his character. Sadly hollywood has forgotten what esoteric means, but he's good

Watched the first 4 today and really enjoying it. If there was a legal way of watching the entire season I would because I can't wait for the next episode.

It's all up on the torrents from a few months ago.

Pretty decent series and I think I enjoyed it a bit more than the Jack Ryan series on Amazon.

More like a Bourne tv series as opposed to a re-hash of 24.

Hopefully S2 is more of the same party

Sky have been advertising this lately so there's prob a few people having a look.

I've just finished watching series 1 and have really really enjoyed it. So tense at times. I've timed this well as series 2 is now available.

Just finished watching series 2 of this. Series 1 was great but the second series has been a bit underwhelming in comparison. Given there was a gap between series I'd have presumed they could come up with something as interesting as series 1 with the time they've taken. Joe seemed more switched on before than here as well. Dare I say it, this was almost heading into average territory. Having said that I'd defo watch another series.

I enjoyed it - but the Ruel [sp] romance arc seemed to go nowhere
